Certified Best Healing Solutions Practitioner Kalyani Heather Lynn offers some options for creating your own hand sanitizer at home. Note that hand washing with soap for at least 20 seconds is still more effective than hand sanitizers – 20 seconds is about as long as singing happy birthday twice. You can add a few drops of any of the essential oils listed within the recipes below to boost the cleaning power of your regular hand soap.

2/3 cup of 70% Isopropyl alcohol or higher, or grain alcohol
Optional – add Ionic or colloidal silver.

Reuse an old plastic wipe container. Get a strong paper towel roll and cut it in half with a knife. Fit one-half of the roll into the container and soak with the solution. When it is soft, pull out the cardboard paper towel roll from the the middle of the roll. Find the inner most layer of paper towels and thread through lid of the dispenser.
Optional – soak reusable flannel wipes, cloths, or strong paper towels of your choice in a container, with lid of your choice.
